Irish Distillers Files Patent For Its Jameson Brand

Founded in 1966, Irish Distillers is an international distiller and distributor of popular premium Irish whiskey brands, such as Jameson, Redbreast, and Powers. Irish Distillers is a subsidiary of renowned French drinks conglomerate Pernod Ricard.

According to data submitted, the Irish whiskey distiller anticipates setting up an online marketplace for virtual goods, blockchain tokens, digital tokens, NFTs, digital media, digital files, and digital assets.

Moreover, Irish Distiller intends to launch online retail stores featuring virtual goods such as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food, clothing, footwear, headwear, and glasses in the Metaverse.

Irish Distillers has also showcased plans to offer entertainment services such as conducting actual and virtual workshops, education demonstrations, and short courses in mixology and alcoholic beverages.

Lastly, Irish Distillers intends to launch a reward program for all customers making online purchases of its virtual goods. The alcoholic firm anticipates using NFT functionality to process loyalty points.

Other Alcoholic Brands In The Metaverse

Irish Distillers joins a growing list of famous luxury alcoholic brands which have already filed their trademark applications. Absolut Vodka, another French drinks conglomerate Pernod Ricard subsidiary, filed its trademark application with USPTO to launch a virtual bar and drinks earlier this month.

In September 2022, Jack Daniels, the distiller of Tennessee whiskey, filed a trademark application with the trademark office to launch NFT-authenticated media, digital wallets, and virtual beverages in the Metaverse.

In related reports, Johnnie Walker also reannounced its integration with BlockBar NFT marketplace to launch an NFT collection. Other alcoholic brands in the NFT industry include Moet Hennessey and Malaysian Tiger Beer.
